The Club, which is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and Gloucester Federation of Garden Clubs, has been established for 30 years. It has 72 members and meets at Abbey Fields Community Centre on the third Wednesday of each month.
We have ten speaker meetings each year with illustrated talks covering a wide range of interesting garden topics and in some instances, speakers bring unusual plants along that can be purchased by members. In addition, the Club arranges several visits to unusual or famous gardens each year and these are usually accompanied by cream teas which provide good social interaction amongst our members.
The Club has a long history of exhibiting at the Annual Winchcombe Show and also holds its own members Annual Show at which prizes are given for a range of the plant groups.
In December each year it holds a special Christmas Social event.
